Ana Castro is an award-winning chef and restaurateur. She first fell in love with food sitting around her grandmother’s kitchen table. After pursuing a formal culinary education, she worked at a variety of restaurants from India to Denmark and New York to New Orleans. Most recently, Ana launched her own contemporary Mexican mariscos restaurants in New Orleans, alongside her best friend and sister, Lydia Castro. Just two months after opening, the restaurant was named one of “America’s Best Restaurants” in 2024 by The New York Times.
